Farmers Fighting Back----Canberra Rally
Monday June 16---10.30am
WGAG along with NSW FARMERS ASOCIATION is calling
on all farmers to attend this rally to demonstrate to our politicians how critical it is to wheat growers, and ultimately the Australian economy, for the National Pool Marketing system to be retained.
We are angry.
This madness must stop. The two major political parties are selling Australian wheat farmers’ future viability to the multi national grain traders even though it’s very clear that the grain grower surveys all say 80%+ wheat growers want to retain the national marketing pool system.
Our rural communities will be decimated by this wheat export bill
THIS IS ALL ABOUT DEREGULATION AND NO DEREGULATION HAS WORKED IN THE PAST, e g. Dairy-- ask the community of Gloucester where there was once a strong Dairy industry with 365 dairy farmers. There are now only 10 left.
We must act now to save our industry from being handed to the world’s multi nationals.
One rain event won’t fix the catastrophe that will unfold at harvest time. ONE DAY COULD DETERMINE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY’S VIABILITY STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR OWN SURVIvAL. YOUR FUTURE IS AT STAKE HERE.
PLEASE ATTEND THIS RALLY.
Gather in front of old Parliament House for 10.30am start
And then walk up to New Parliament House.
